Mercedes-Benz has huge plans for the future and their current success is giving them the stepping stones they’ll use to get there.  For 2012, Mercedes was able to report record sales for each quarter and also had the best October the automaker has ever seen.  They were able to report a 6% increase over last years October.

Thus far, Mercedes-Benz has sold over 1,74,558 new vehicles during 2012, which is also a record number of sales.  Total sales for the Mercedes Cars division comes to almost 1.2 million units.

“With our sales record in October we have started successfully into the fourth quarter,” Dr. Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Cars, told media. ” Our new models, spearheaded by the new A-Class and B-Class, are giving us significant tailwind. We are expecting a new worldwide sales record for the full year as well. In our currently largest market, the U.S., we are on record course with high growth rates and can thus again secure our market leadership since the beginning of the year.”
