The Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic is a popular entry-level sporty sedan that has been creating loyal Mercedes buyers for years.  The outgoing C300 4Matic is powered by a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower.  For the 2013 model year, Mercedes gave this sporty sedan an engine upgrade that will give drivers a more pleasurable experience with better acceleration, speed and fuel efficiency.

The higher caliber engine gracing the presence of the area under the hood of the 2013 C300 4Matic is a 3.5 liter direct injected V6.  This engine is a similar but gentler version of the ones found in the C350 and E350; the 4Matic version will produce 248 horsepower and 251 lb ft of torque.  According to Car and Driver Magazine, the sedan will feature both an Eco mode and start/stop feature to increase efficiency.  The EPA’s mpg ratings for the updated 2013 version should rise as well; automotive experts are expecting at least 20 mpg combined.
